Project Spotlight: Frontier Barbours Cut

Frontier Barbours Cut, a 468,000 SF, front-load warehouse, is located in the Port of Houston Barbours Cut Terminal. The structure is a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) with a portion of the structure 72’ above grade. Rail-served, the building has 19 rail lines for railcar storage and includes 4,350 SF of interior office space.

Founded in 1997, Frontier Logistics has grown into one of the largest resin packaging and logistics providers thanks to long-term and growing relationships with most major plastics manufacturers. With 14 facilities nationwide, Frontier Logistics needed a state-of-the-art, high-volume packaging facility to meet their growing logistics demands; they made the strategic decision to add a facility to the Port of Houston’s Barbours Cut Terminal. This project was a public-private partnership between Frontier Logistics and the Port of Houston and includes a 99-year lease.
