Build-to-Suit

Texas Instruments

The Texas Instruments Build-to-Suit project was a large, complex, fast-track, hybrid facility for a world-wide engineering giant. This new campus serves as Texas Instrument’s Engineering/Research and Development/Testing headquarters. The client relocated 400 engineers, administrators, and support personnel from the existing (closed) Stafford manufacturing plant to a new state-of-the-art facility in Sugar Land. As the contractor, E.E. Reed participated and facilitated this corporate relocation from conception to operation. The 165,000 SF, tilt-wall, three-story office building houses custom built industrial MEP systems and includes a monument stair, office space, collaboration areas, a test characterization laboratory, and an electrical engineering laboratory. The site improvements include landscaping, outdoor plazas, a parking garage, and exterior basketball and volleyball courts. This project achieved LEED Gold Certification.
