Fort Bend University Branch Library


Located in Fort Bend County, this 40,000 SF, two-story public library is constructed from insulated metal panels with metal-stud backup, curtain wall and storefront glazing. Materials also include brick and cast stone. The main building features a TPO roof with a steel-framed canopy and standing-seam metal roof. The project also included all interior improvements including children’s/young adult/adult areas, staff areas, meeting and conference rooms, group study rooms, and service areas; and related site improvements including 75,000 SF of concrete paving. This project was named an HBJ Landmark Award Nominee.
